2.  great deal
I would definitely recommend this bag to anyone who likes this style of backpack. The colors match exactly as shown and there is plenty of room in it. I plan to use it for school in January and won have any problem fitting all my notebooks and some textbooks in it. It has many pockets to keep stuff organized and is real cushioned. And the delivery was exceptional-- ordered it on Monday night from ebags and received it Wednesday around noon not even 2 days later. I love it and would definitely order another similar jansport bag or use ebags again.

7.  Great bag
I purchased this for my daughter, who already pretty much destroyed the messenger bag she got for school this year. She wanted somehing with skulls on it, and this was nice looking. Not too weird or freaky. I was pleasantly surprised when we got it, it has a zipper under the flap as well as the clasps. A very nice sturdy bag and I would buy it again.

I bought this for my 10 year old who just finished 4th grade. When i got it i was worried that it may be to big for her, but she thinks it is the perfect size. She was able to fit her big 3 inch binder, several big books and notebooks plus have room for other stuff. 12.  Love it!!!,
This bag was exactly what I was hoping for. Big pockets with a few smaller pocets Two on the sides, one on the inside if the large front pocet with two other slots for pencils or anything else you could think of. One water bottle pocket on the side and on the inside of the main pocket is a separator for your books and compute. And one more pocket in the front of the flap. The strap is comfortible. I use this bag for many things, I take my computer with me everywhere, so I can fit my computer, books, camera, pencils, jeanes, PJs, shoes sandels and my skechers, Walet, food, movies and I still have a little room left for anything else I can think of.
I would recamend this to anyone.

13.  Fantastic bag with tons of room
Im a college student, taking four classes this semester. And it so happens that all four of my classes are on the same days, so I have to haul 4 classes worth of textbooks with me. Ive bought Jansport backpacks before and have never been disappointed, and this backpack is no different.
First of all, this bag has a ton of pockets. There is room for all of my extras, keys, wallet, laptop, pens, highlighters, Kindle, etc. Plus there are pockets on the sides to hold my water bottle.
Inside, I can fit all of my books, two 3 subject notebooks, and a folder with room leftover. Its perfect.
What I like also is the clasp closure of the flap. I specifically looked for a messenger bag that did not utilize velcro as a closure, since velcro wears out and with the amount of books that I needed to carry, I wasn sure velcro would hold. I don have to worry about it with the clasps.
The laptop compartment inside is slightly padded, but I would not feel comfortable putting my computer in there without more protection. I have a 11.6 netbook and I bought a separate sleeve for added padding.
I would definitely recommend this backpack to anyone, its a great bag.

14.  5/5 Excellent for a university student in a busy world
The best bag I have ever owned in my life. I have no regrets purchasing this product as I dont see any here in Trinidad. When I received it via DHL today I was real impressed.
Features:
1 Very spacious and lots of room for books, stationary and most of all yes a lap top compartment and you know we students in this day and age love to carry around our lap tops with us anywhere on campus.
2 It has several compartments big, small and medium so you can put your staionary, diskettes, cds, lap top plug, cell phones, ipod,university badges, laptop/pc earplugs and water bottle yep very very good indeed for a water lover ; wink, wink.
3 The pink daquiri is really funky yet sophisticated and sassy for todays student or modern person. the skull heads are in white and clay colours but are nicely camoflouged in the roses and colours. The handle is striped to blend in with this unique design.
4 The long main strap has a shoulder protection pad which is cushiony and long enough to adjust to people of different builts and bone structure.
5 Most of all it has an entire shock absorbant padded area to the entire back of the bag for laptops and whatever valuables you cherish.

15.  just for 15`4 laptop not 15`6
I brought a new laptop HpG62so I want to buy a new laptop bag for my dear computer.
The colour is nice.Packaging is nice.Shipping is fast.
Its really big enough for a college student
(a litte too big I think if you are a pretty girl)

Howeverthe sad truth is that I can not fill my new 156 into the laptop sleeve.
And the package box have an obvious message card said for 15`4 laptop!!!!!
Im sure the description "Dimensions:13in h x 16in w x 5.5in " is definitely not enough for the guy who has no feeling about Num just like me!!!

I bought this to replace a different rolling backpack brandalso begins with a J, that fell apart after less than a month of use by my second grader. The other brands wheels fell off and the handle broke, stuck in the up position. So far, this one is a huge improvement over the other model. 3.  Great travel backpack
This backpack works great for airline travel and all around just taking along your laptop, iPad, cameras, chargers, meds, bagged liquids, sweatshirt, etc. The side pockets worked great for easy access to passports and boarding passes. It actually fit under the seat in front of me on the airplane once I took out the laptop which I always use to watch movies when in flight. It has a laptop sleeve which protects the laptop and I use my own neoprene iPad sleeve. All of my devices that I need to access at the airport or on the plane are in easy reach with this rolling backpack. I love the plaid color inserts which help it stand out from all of the solid black ones. I prefer this over other lighter colors which get dirty looking easily. I would highly recommend this for students, travelers and those living in a high rise!

I am currently a nursing student, and I really needed a bag with the capability of holding several large books, water bottle, notebooks, lunch, pencils, Iclicker, etc. This does it all! It rolls easy and the handle is comfortable and sturdy. Some great pockets in the front for all your bits and bobs. 6.  So Good........They Stole It!

7.  best rolling backpack ever
This will hold two of my binders, two large textbooks and still room for my laptop and my lunch. There is room in front for pens and odds and ends and the large wheels will roll over just about anything without mishap. The only downside is that sometimes when I really load it up, it looks like there is too much pressure on the zipper, so Im careful.

8.  Best of two worlds
My JanSport Driver 8 is a USED one I got on Amazon. I suppose you could say its been around the block... I fumigated it.
Mine seems to be well made. Fairly good materials. The handle is intact and extends/retracts as it should. It is long enough when extended. It seems to be well anchored to the pack! The pack is light weight. It has good wheels that spin freely but they show signs of wear. They appear to be replaceable. The pack is just about the right size too.
The shoulder straps store in a pouch until needed. Mine will see action on a trip across Southern Europe in 2012. We travel as cheaply as possible!
I give it 5 stars because though it is used it is still in good shape!

9.  Excellent backpack for College use
This is a great wheeled backpack. I have used it now for 8 months without any problems. I have since ordered another, just to help alleviate the need to keep switching backpacks with all my books. I have taken it through, rain, snow, ice, and of course good weather. It is holding up great, not any issues at all.
I was a bit worried about the issue with the one handle damaging my books after reading the review so I put a piece of cardboard very thin, in the back of that compartment, and then place my books in front of it. I have had no problems, I really am not sure I need to take that extra precaution, but I did just to be safe.
I am physically unable to carry a regular backpack, so I have not tried that feature, but for a wheeled pack I am very happy.
The inner compartments are also very nice, and the two pockets, are large enough to carry my ipod touch. The side mesh is able to hold two water bottles. Of course there is also a lap top compartment, although I rarely use that area for a lap top, books fit into it nicely as well. After beginning nursing school in August 2011, I quickly realized a rolling backpack would be a necessity. The amount of books I have to carry to and from school, were way too much weight on my back. Ive purchased JanSport backpacks in the past and was using a JanSport when school started no wheels. However, I wasn sure I wanted to pay the price of a rolling backpack. A friend of mine purchased another brand at a local discount store and within 1 month of school, it began to fray and this month, it started to tear. She paid thirty dollars for her non-JanSport. I knew if I bit the bullet and paid the higher price, I wouldn regret it. And, I was right!!!! Ive had my rolling JanSport since October and I LOVE IT! It rolls smooth and holds all my books. Excellent backpack! Im a masters student at a medical school and like to trek my way to the library to keep up with the med students. Of course I want to carry everything I would possible need while Im there! I spent 4 hours looking up rolling backpacks to save my back and could not find ones that fit my 17 inspiron dell notebook and my huge books. This backpack wasn clear on the laptop size it holds, but all of the reviews said it was big, so i figured that if it didn hold my laptop id just put a book in that pocket. But it came today and my lap top fit!!! and fit my books!! and a second pocket to fit my notebooks!! and the front pocket is big to hold ur charger/wallet/car keys/ snacks/and writing materials! 13.  Outlasted the others
My daughter has gone through 2 rolling backpacks in a matter of months. She is a 5th grader so she has a lot of books and she walks to school 1/4 of the time. We finally decided to try out the Jansport version and its been about a year with no problems. The wheels are still rolling, the zippers are still zipping and the handle is still sturdy. Its worth the price!!!

16.  The Lexus of wheeled backpacks
My son went through 4 decent backpacks last year grade 4, including a tough-looking Samsonite lasted 2 months. This rugged contraption and a little extra care is the solution. This is the first and only wheeled backpack that has stood up to the abuse he gives it. Also, this unit seems bottomless: it holds far more than you might expect. This is a very well engineered backpack and therefore highly recommended. Go ahead and by cheaper ones ...youll eventually end up with a JanSport like we did. Just wait for a decent sale price...

Purchased this rolling backpack after spending a few hours researching which one would serve my needs best and appeared to be the most durable yet economical. I didn want to spend $200 for a backpack but I wanted something large and dependable. Well, this backpack definitely fills the bill. I have been using it daily for over a month and I absolutely love it. I have a number of books, notebooks, etc. that I must lug around for nursing school and with this backpack its a breeze. It has a large storage capacity, very smooth wheels, and I really appreciate the long and adjustable length of the handle. Plus, you cannot beat the price here on Amazon for the brown one its attractive and was a little cheaper than the black one and the lifetime warranty from Jansport sealed the deal for me. 18.  Battle Tested
This is our second Driver 8. My daughter has beat up the first one for 3 years and finally has managed to rip a hole in it with some sharp object. There was no thought about going to a different manufacturer -- JanSport makes the highest quality pack out there. We know from experience: most of the others weve owned never made it through the school year, the handle and/or the zippers wearing out with daily use. After 3 years, this Driver 8s handle and zippers are in great condition, and the pack probably would have gone longer had it not been subjected to that sharp, pointed thing which should probably have not gone in there....ahem.

19.  Saves my back
All throughout high school, I used roller backpacks like these. They were made by Olympia and I would have to replace them every year. This was primarily because the wheels had two spinner things and all sorts of junk would get stuck in there, and if that didn happen, the wheels themselves would just wear out.
This bag by JanSport, however, has been really awesome so far. It has two pretty sizable wheels that have good traction, and should stuff get wrapped up in there, it doesn affect the way this bag handles in the least.
Another handy feature is its handle. Before, I would have to fight with my bags because I would have to physically press down the handle if I had to climb stairs and whatnot, and often times it would just get stuck. Not fun at all. With this JanSport bag, you just press the button and theres no fighting back.
Also, my laptop fits well in the inside pocket provided it Compaq Presario V3000. Exactly what I needed.

1.  Exactly what I wanted
The pack came to my door in about 8 hours after it was shipped! Talk about fast service!
I like to be more casual when it comes to backpacks so the designs didn really fit me.
However, they have a selection of plain colors as well; I ordered the Forge Grey.
It looks fantastic! Just a hint darker than it is in the picture!
First thoughts:
- It looks sturdy, the pockets look like they can carry everything that I would need. Zippers are slightly stiff when opening the compartments but thatll probably go down over time. My favorite part is the fact that the weather flaps fabric hanging over the zipper for added protection are not as low as my older Jansports. This means that the zipper is less likely to get stuck in it! Which happened quite often to me. The S straps do feel awkward to me at first, but it seems like they would loosen up over time and comfort my arms when I have to ride my bike to classes. The fabric strip used for adjusting the straps does seem about an inch thinner that my older Jansport had. So this might pose a challenge on durability. But why am I worried? Jansport backpacks come with a lifetime warranty! The water bottle holder isn too large, I probably couldn fit a full-sized gatorade bottle in there, but thats not too big of a deal.

2.  So, I bought this in November 2008
and IM STILL USING IT every day!! I love my jansport backpack and will probably never buy another brand of bag ever! It is super spacious, and although the straps were a little odd for the first couple of days, I got used to them. So, BUY THIS BACKPACK, and you WILL be using it for years to come. I recently received my backpack and used it this week while commuting back and forth to work. I was very pleased and impressed with the size, number of compartments it has, and the way it holds the weight of all my personal belongings--I was surpised that there was enough room for my big purse. I carry my coffee, 36 oz bottled water, purse, iphone and its acessories, ipad and its accessories, lunchsmall or big, paperwork, and umbrella in the backpack and I still have some extra space left. I take the bus to work five days a week and I used to carry my purse and a big nylon bag and sometimes 2 bags, depending on the size of my lunch and amount of paperwork and had problems trying to manage all the stuff I carried on the bus with limited space and thought about getting a backpack since I saw some people with them. I didn know which ones were good/bad so I read reviews on this one and others. Since this backpack had many good reviews, I was encouraged to get this one and Im glad I did. Now, Im able to carry one bag, not 2 or 3, and my new backpack doesn feel as heavy as the multiple bags I was carrying even though Im carrying the same things. I feel more comfortable with it on my lap. I really appreciate the people who took the time to give their reviews on their backpacks before I decided to purchase mine. The overall rating on this item has lead me to making the right choice.

4.  THIS BACKPACK ACTUALLY LASTS
Ive gone throughout many backpacks..and now I am in college and decided to invest in a nice backpack not a cheap one that my mom would buy at Target/Walmart. Nice that I got a backpack that lasts, is easy to wash and doesn cost much. I could not be more pleased. As a college student who commutes, I bring A LOT in the backpack and after two semesters not even one tear, one break in the zipper nothing. I bought this in the teal/hibiscus print and it to so pretty and vibrant! I love it because it matches the color of my glasses!
Could not be more pleased, there is plenty of room in this to put all the books and food and everything else I bring to campus in a day. I would not hesitate in buying another if mine even ripped sometime soon because this has lasted me longer than any other backpack Ive had. I guess I give quite a beating!

5.  Perfect student backpack
I agree with others, my son at 12 in the 7th grade has an unnatural amount of books to carry to and from school. This is the first backpack I have found that fits it all including his flute. Great product! Lots of great colors to choose from.

7.  Love the Daypack
I think this backpack is the perfect size. It is big enough to fit all my books, and small enough to fit into my school locker. I like all the pockets, which helps to keep my things organized. It is comfortable to wear; not too heavy; and the color is really pretty.

8.  My very picky son loves it
This back pack is the perfect size for elementary school kids that have more than one item to pack. I would not recommend it for the littler students but more for the 2 graders and up. It fits my sons binder, some books and his lunch box. It has nice adjustable straps that are padded to help ease some strain on his shoulders. If I had to complain about anything it would be that the shoulder straps are a bit stiff but I am sure they will reak in with continued use.

9.  Very good quality and super cute
Love it! I fit so so much in this backpack my huge 17 laptop, 3 textbooks, and all of my toiletries. Its held up now for over a semester. The white attracts dirt but it cleaned up very nicely in the washer! I still get compliments on it all the time. Not a fray on this thing after 5 months! Yup, love it!

Im a nursing student our books are HUGE and I also like to bring lunch and gym clothes/shoes to school. So I had a hard time finding a spacious enough bag, until I found this! PLUS, it was cheap!

11.  JanSport Big Student Backpack (Black)
Great backpack. Very sturdy, plenty of space, comfortable. This was for a friend and she loved it. I have the same one but in navy blue. I bought it to replace the same model I bought 11 years ago. One of the zippers -of the old one- finally gave in after 11 years of heavy use. Jansport is a great brand. If this backpack lasts as long as my previous one, Im all set for a long while.

12.  Nephews JanSport Daypack
My nephew loved the daypack! He is a Freshman in high school and has to carry all his books with him all day since he doesn have time to hit his locker in between classes. Its big enough to allow him to carry them as comfortably as possible! Thanks for the great product and the great price!

13.  Satisfies this law students needs
I have ridiculously large books and a half hour walk to and from the train station each day. Unlike every other backpack Ive tried, the straps of this one have yet to start ripping or fraying apart from the bag. The only feature I miss is a buckle connecting the two straps across the front of the chest, so they don pull apart at the shoulders. However, the bag is heavy-duty and roomy, and Im easily able to fit my laptop, Con Law book maybe the largest book ever made, Crim Law book 2nd largest ever, and pocket dictionary. Overall, if you can get as good a price as I paid for it, I would recommend it to any student or other user...

14.  Tremendous Jansport Quality
Jansport is THE brand in the backpack business. This backpack will not disappoint you. I have used this pack for months, and I am amazed by the durability of the fabric and zippers. Just overall good quality from Jansport. Not much of a surprise.
I particularly like the outside zippers, great for pens/pencils, my iPod, and cell phone. Well designed.

I have been a Jansport Junkie since I was in High school Many years ago. I remember begging my mom for the black backpack with that tapestry looking strip across the front. I was lucky enough that she bought it for me and thanks to their lifetime warrenty it has been replaced for free 3 times now I still have that backpack and it functions as my always packed bathroom travel bag.
So I decided to go back to school to get a second major and didn want to unpack my bathroom bag. I began hunting for a Jansport. I ordered this bag in the Tan color with the pink zippers. I LOVE it. First of all it came with that wonderful tag that says Lifetime warrenty on craftsmanship, second, its larger and much more comfortable them my circa 1993 version.
There are WAY more pockets then the old ones had. Right now in the large main pocket I have a Precalculus book, Chemistry Book, Microbiology book, and chemistry Student guide. In the second main pocket the bulk of the packpack is separated into two parts I have 3 spiral notebooks, 2 composition books, a TI Calculator, and a pair of lab goggles. In the front pouch I have two full boxes of pencils, one box of pens, various items from my purse and two packs of gum. Then I found two more pockets AND a little webbed thingy on the side for holding a bottle of water. Also in the front pouch is a little pocket made just for cell phones - nice touch. I still have plenty of room for adding more crap should I want to... but I don think I could lift it then.
The whole exterior is made in that standard high test canvas that makes Jansport bags last forever. The inside separator between the two large pockets may be the first thing that goes - its a much flimsier material.
Final verdict - it holds everything I need it to hold, has surprisingly comfortable straps, and appears very durable. Highly recommended for High school, college, weekend overnight bag, or laptop bag. I do not recommend it for little ones as my 8 year old put it on and it almost swallowed him.
EDIT- I have just ordered 2 more of these - one for each of my stepsons. The bag has made it through almost a whole college semester with nary a scuff. I love this bag. I now have one in this black and white spastic mishmash color that matches my youngests bike, and the one with the lions on it looks like old heraldry they are all shaped exactly the same and made just as durable.

17.  Great Choice for the Money
This is a good backpack. It is very sturdy. I got it for my high school son because he ripped through his first backpack for the year in less than a week. We paid about the same for that backpack as we did for this JanSport backpack. He has had it now for a couple of months and his holding together just fine. When he first got the backpack he said the shoulder pads were very hard but now he says they don bother him anymore. Maybe he has broken them in or just gotten use to them. If you are looking for a good and roomy no frills backpack for school, this one has worked out great for my son. I had a JanSport years ago when I was in college and I remember it being a good choice back then too. This Big Student Backpack is a great choice for the money.

18.  Great backpack
I am very happy with my purchase of this backpack. The color is great, and it has plenty of compartments but not so many that you don know what to put in them. I especially like the mesh holder on the side, I put my water bottle in there so I don have to carry it around. Im a graduate student so I have a lot of materials I have to lug around, and this backpack is perfect for it. The straps are very sturdy and don cut into my shoulders. It is very comfortable to wear.

19.  Very comfortable; very useful. Perfect for laptops
Something I didn know when I ordered this online: The pocket behind the Jansport logo has inner pockets for pens, phone, calculator, small book, rocks, old socks... whatever you want. My other Jansport had the bottomless pit of pockets that was a nightmare to dig through to find a pen or change for that horrible Starbucks coffee I keep buying.
The straps are thick and harder than the previous Jansport straps. ALMOST too stiff, but they should soften up with use. The nice part about them is that 65 pounds of books with these S-shaped straps doesn feel as bad as it did with my other straight Jansport straps.
The Chocolate Cherry color is realy burgundy, or better yet, a nice cabernet. I don know about the other colors, but Jansport is pretty good about the color in the picture matching the product.

20.  7th Grader loves it
My daughter selected this backpack for middle school and she loves it! The colors and fun and different (not too young). The storage compartments and roominess of the pack are excellent. Great backpack! We havent had it long so cant attest to its durability but so far so good.
